When we study the Old Testament, we discover that God made a whole series of covenants, instead of one. He made covenants with Noah, Abraham, the Israelites at Sinai and with David. And the people themselves completed covenants with each other in the presence of God at Shechem, and after the Exile in the time of Nehemiah.
